On Friday June 12th I will present a paper entitled ‘Exploring Muslim Women’s Counter-Publics’ at the MEDIA@LSE PhD Workshop: Media, Communication and Information Technologies: Developing Perspectives in Social Research.” http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=58182805847&ref=share.
Fieldwork!
If you are visiting because I sent you an email wondering if you were interested in taking part in this research project, welcome! (If you came by by any other means doubly so!) My research relies on the vibrant, exciting, outspoken and brilliant Muslimahs out there making a mark on the internet to share their experiences with me.
On the right are links to information about me and about the project. If you are interested in participating you can either email me, send me a comment through this blog, or just go ahead and complete the participant consent form – in either case I look forward to hearing from you!
Ethnics Approval
The project ‘Muslimah Online: Exploring Muslim Women’s Counter-Publics on the Internet’ was granted ethnics approval by the Arts, Law and Social Sciences Research Ethics Panel on 23 March 2009.
The research will observe Anglia Ruskin University’s rules on ethics (RESC Policy and Code of Practice).
Still awaiting approval from the University’s Research Degrees Sub Committee, but fieldwork will begin imminently!
